Denis Davydov - Accordion, bandoneon, Artistic Director
Denis is a graduate of the Tolyatti Conservatory of Music in Russia. He has participated in many prestigious music competitions and has won prizes at the Music Land International Competition in St. Petersburg, Russia; the Festival of Humor and Music competition in Kazan, Russia; and the 2016 Muzite International Festival of Music and Dance in Sazopol, Bulgaria (Grand Prix). Denis is also a former CCUSA fellowship (USA) holder. He has been living in Shanghai since 2012 where he has drawn attention as a regular performer of Tango, Jazz, Bossa Nova and the music of Richard Galliano, Frank Marocco and Astor Piazzolla.
Felix Ventouras - Piano
Felix graduated with a B.M. from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts (UNCSA) and an M.M. from Hunter College based in NYC, USA. He is an international performing premiering in NYC, Washington D.C., Los Angeles, Moscow, Ascoli Piceno, Melbourne, Beijing and most recently in Shanghai. He has had the honor to work with "Boogi-Woogie" Man" Daryl Davis, Texas blues guitarist Jack Morgan, The American Ballet Theater, The Bolshoi Ballet, John Mauceri, the National Dance Institute (NDI), Tan Dun, Dancing into the Future of Shanghai, and now The Gardel Trio.
Rael Solis-May - Violin
Rael graduated from the Mussorgsky Conservatory of Music in Yekaterinburg, Russia. Rael also holds a Masters
of Music from the Gheorghe Dima Academy of Music in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. During his performance career, Rael has held scholarships from the Mexican and Romanian governments, as well as
from organizations in the United States, where he spent some time improving his violin skills. Besides performing, Rael has lectured and written numerous articles on music and culture. He is
currently living in Shanghai where he is actively teaching and performing music.
Oskar Jezior - Piano
Oskar has been collaborating with the trio since its beginnings. He holds a Master degree from the world-renowned Julliard School in New York and a Bachelor degree from the Hanover Music Conservatory in Germany. He has played at major concert venues in the USA, Europe and Asia. He has performed with the Shanghai Philharmonic, the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra and other orchestras in Europe. In 2006 he released his debut CD to critical acclaim. He is a prizewinner of many international competitions, including the Julliard Piano Competition, the Cleveland Piano Competition, and the Beethoven Competition in Germany. Oskar is also an active film composer and has written music for numerous prizewinning films.
Jens Peter Jongepier - Piano
Jens holds a Bachelors degree and a Post Graduate degree from the Norwegian Academy of Music. He has performed concerts in Norway, Iceland and other European countries. Jens has been a recipient of various scholarships from the Norwegian government. He has been invited, on several occasions, to perform live on national television, as a piano soloist and as a chamber musician. He is also a co-founder of, and has been a performer at, Hyperfokus, one of the leading minimalist music festivals in Norway. He currently lives in Shanghai where he is performing and teaching.
